Inclusion trough sport for children with developmental disabilities
Projekt je pre regionálnu spoluprácu financovaný Islandom, Lichtenštajnskom a Nórskom prostredníctvom EHP a Nórskych grantov.
Deň projektu „Mladí športovci“, 22.9.2021
Špeciálne olympiády Slovensko, dňa 22 septembra 2021, pripravili ukážku projektu „Mladí športovci Špeciálnych olympiád“. Ukážka dvojhodinovej Telesnej výchovy prebiehala na Spojenej škole Pezinok v alokovanom pracovisku Modra. Za účasti detí s intelektuálnym znevýhodnením z troch tried spolu 20 detí vo veku od 5 do 9 rokov sa uskutočnila Telesná výchova plná emócií, športových výkonov, skúšania nových zručností a bola motiváciou aj pre pani učiteľky, ktoré sa tiež priučili novým formám vedenia Telesnej výchovy. 5 stanovíšť na rozvoj koordinácie, presnosti, vytrvalosti a obratnosti mladí športovci absolvovali v 10 minútových intervaloch trvania. Naučili sa čo znamená štart, cieľ, tiež upratať si po sebe športovisko a zatlieskať jeden druhému. V rámci dvojhodinovky Telesnej výchovy s mladými športovcami Špeciálnych olympiád dostali možnosť zoznámiť sa aj s novým športom basketbal. V rámci jedného stanovišťa si na troch basketbalových košoch rôznych výšok vyskúšali hádzanie dvoma rukami zospodu, hádzanie dvoma rukami zvrchu a vyskúšali si aj driblovanie. Koniec hodiny bol v znamení odmien, kde mladí športovci dostali za svoju snahu: tričko Young Athletes Special Olympics, tričko Nórske fondy, medailu a vestu Špeciálnych olympiád. Do tried im Špeciálne olympiády Slovensko tiež darovali hračky od IKEA.

The project is funded for regional cooperation by Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway through the EEA and Norwegian grants.
Young Athletes Sport Day 2021, September 22, 2021
Special Olympics Slovakia, on September 22, 2021, prepared a demonstration of the project „Young Athletes of Special Olympics“. The demonstration of the two-hour Physical Education took place at the Pezinok Joint School in the allocated Modra workplace. With the participation of children with intellectual disabilities from three classes, a total of 20 children aged 5 to 9 completed a physical education full of emotions, sports performances, testing new skills. It was also a motivation for the teachers, who learned new forms of leading Physical Education. Young athletes completed 5 stations for the development of coordination, accuracy, endurance and dexterity in 10-minute intervals. They learned what it means to start, to finish, also to tidy up the sports field and applaud each other. As part of the two-hour Physical Education class with young athletes of the Special Olympics, they were also given the opportunity to get acquainted with the new sport of basketball. Within one station, they tried throwing with two hands from below, throwing with two hands from above and tried dribbling on three basketball hoops of different heights. The end of the class was marked by the rewards, where the young athletes received for their efforts: the Young Athletes Special Olympics T-shirt, the Norwegian Funds T-shirt, the Special Olympics medal and vest. The Special Olympics Slovakia also donated toys from IKEA to their classes.
