1st Unified Young Athletes Camp „Welcoming Young Athletes with intellectual disabilities to sport programs in Special Olympics Slovakia”.
    Young Athletes generation is the future of Sports in Special Olympics. To introducing them Unified team sports is the best way to inclusion.

1 st. Unified Young Athletes Training Camp organized by Special Olympics Slovakia

    The 1st Young Athletes Camp was kick off by Family Health Forum with 50 participants on August 15,2022 in Jason Hotel, Vrsatske Podhradie, Slovakia. The main topic at the FHF was to introduce better options and opportunities for sports and healthy lifestyle for athletes and family members and caregivers. The FHF was active as family members were discussing and filled out the questionnaires for the survey made by Poznan University.
Organizing the 1st. ever Young Athletes Training Camp for 4 days gave us so many opportunities to teach and learn. During the days 16 and 17 of August 2022, the coach training workshop was held. Marek a Michaela two Special Olympics athletes were trained in basic football and basketball skills. Both have been already in process of training for assistant coaches so the skills in ball games gave them so much confidence to help coaches at training lessons.
    Also, during the 1st Young Athletes Camp August 16 and 17, 2022 in Jason Hotel was Unified training held with 9 young athletes and 9 unified partners. They all enjoyed developing their basic football and basketball skills. The two-training session were closed by small unified competitions in football and basketball.
