Inclusion trough sport for children with developmental disabilities
Projekt je pre regionálnu spoluprácu financovaný Islandom, Lichtenštajnskom a Nórskom prostredníctvom EHP a Nórskych grantov.
Projekt „Školenie trénerov basketbalu“, 06.10.2021
Špeciálne olympiády Slovensko vďaka podpore Nórskych grantov založili na Slovensku nový šport pre deti a mládež s intelektuálnym znevýhodnením. Vďaka tomu, že sme súčasťou trojročného projektu spolu s ďalšími siedmimi krajinami, môžeme našu skupinu športov „obohatiť“ o nový šport a to BASKETBALL. Školenie trénerov, ktorí sa prihlásili z radov členov Špeciálnych olympiád Slovensko, v počte 10 osôb, sa konalo v Spojenej škole Pezinok v alokovanom pracovisku Modra. Školenie prebiehalo dvojfázovo: Praktická časť v telocvični bola vedená bývalým basketbalovým hráčom Martinom Rýdzim, ktorý aktívne učil nových trénerov ako začať učiť basketbal. Prínosom bola aktívna účasť 20 žiakov – športovcov so špeciálno-výchovno vzdelávacími potrebami, ktorí boli súčasťou školenia a tak si tréneri mohli hneď v praxi vyskúšať tréningové basketbalové zručnosti spolu s „hráčmi“. Druhá časť sa uskutočnila formou teoretickou, kde prítomní tréneri mali možnosť diskutovať o pravidlách a špecifikách výučby basketbalu. Vďaka podpore v rámci tohoto programu sme rozdali športové pomôcky na výučbu športu Basketbal pre 13 klubov. Basketbalové sety obsahovali: basketbalové koše, basketbalové lopty, koordinačné rebríky, podlahové značky a iné. Mladí športovci „basketbalisti“ dostali na záver dvojhodinovej výuky medaile, tričká, Special Olympics Slovakia vesty a freesby. Veríme, že novovzniknutý šport Basketbal bude patriť v Špeciálnych olympiádach Slovensko k rýchlo sa rozrastajúcemu športu.

Inclusion trough sport for children with developmental disabilities
The project is funded for regional cooperation by Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway through the EEA and Norwegian grants.
Project „Basketball coaches training“, October 6, 2021
Thanks to the support of Norwegian grants, Special Olympics Slovakia has established a new sport in Slovakia for children and young people with intellectual disabilities. Thanks to the fact that we are part of a three-year project together with seven other countries, we can „enrich“ our group of sports with a new sport – BASKETBALL. The training of coaches, who applied from among the members of Special Olympics Slovakia, in the number of 10 persons, took place at the Joint School Pezinok in the allocated workplace Modra. The training took place in two phases: The practical part in the gym was led by former basketball player Martin Rýdzi, who actively taught the new coaches how to start teaching basketball. The benefit was the active participation of 20 students – athletes with special educational needs, who were part of the training, so the coaches could try out basketball training skills together with the „players“ right away in practice. The second part was theoretical, where the present coaches had the opportunity to discuss the rules and specifics of teaching basketball. Thanks to the support under this program, we distributed sports equipment for teaching the sport of Basketball to 13 clubs. Basketball kits included: basketball hoops, basketballs, coordination ladders, floor markers and more. The young athletes „basketball players“ received medals, t-shirts, Special Olympics Slovakia vests and freesby at the end of the two-hour lesson. We believe that the newly created sport of Basketball will be one of the fast growing sports in Special Olympics Slovakia.
